I also own the ethos and the sansamp blonde and prefer the former, but the waiting list is quite long in the meantime, so I doubt that's a viable short term solution. I think the Blonde is the best DI currently available. Say, if you boost the preamp on your bass a lot, only to decide to decrease the bass on your amp, you might consider just not adding so much in the first place. I'm using the sansamp at the minute and loving the xansamp alothough I would like to upgrade to the version with the extra button as I wanted this one for a boost but end up leaving the pedal on pretty much all the time because the tone is so tasty. My guess is that it is very flexible, but that you might risk getting confused if you are not fully aware of how the semi-parametric concept works.

Not as flexible as the Empress ParaEq, but it definitely has its own unique vibe and character that you might end up being addicted to…. Blonde is a good stacking DI.

The M80 left has a distortion circuit and DI functionality, whereas the M81 right is more flexible with a semi-parametric design on the always-critical mid EQ band. There are so many of them out there, and while a lot of them may appear to have fairly similar feature sets, they are all bxss. Do you have some other plugins in this genre?
